We have run the Brig o'Turk Tearoom since 2011, and our chef has brought the tearoom back to life with a twist on his menu using some unexpected ingredients. We thought it was time to expand our business and were delighted when given the opportunity to take over the restaurant in Poppies Hotel. This is a big and new adventure - if you like eating, let him cook for you, and you won’t be disappointed!

Come and try some Fyne Ales in the bar. The well known Fallen Brewery Products, Harviestoun Ola Dubh Ale Matured in Whisky Casks and many more.

I also managed to get to Orkney where I discovered a little pleasure with some big wines and liqueurs. I tasted a few and couldn't help but bring some home to share with you all.

Elderflower and Gooseberry Wine - Clean light floral nose, soft full flavoured with good length. Made with 100% Orkney grown ingredient.

Blueberry wine - Velvety smooth, layered with forest fruits and hint of vanilla oak. Superb with steak, venison and matured cheese.

Cask Gorse - 10 year old 'port style' Gorse wine slowly matured in an Arron Malt Whisky barrel.

Decade Cask - Masterfully blended with vodka, aged in an Arron Malt Whisky barrel.

Cask Strubarb - Strawberry and Rhubarb liqueur...

Really good flavours. They are available now in our bar, as well as some new cocktails. We look forward to welcoming you.
